Students Show A Need For Speed At Chiswick Park

More than 200 students put global business leaders based at Chiswick Park under the spotlight in a careers speed networking session.
The event, which forms part of Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work’s award-winning Future Focus Programme, gave Year 10 pupils from Chiswick School the chance to learn about a huge range of different jobs and industries in one intensive session.

Speed networking takes the popular speed dating philosophy and transfers it to a business environment. The event gave youngsters the opportunity to quiz professionals as much as possible about their jobs, skills and career paths in just five minutes before the whistle blows and they move to the next slot!
The Future Focus Programme was launched in 2012 and each year, works with around 600 pupils to help increase their employability when they leave education. Other activities include Mock Interviews, Work Experience Week, Industry Insights Days and a Presentation Evening.

“The Speed Networking session is a fun and approachable way for pupils to meet with business people and gain an invaluable insight to different careers across multiple industries in a very short space of time,” explained Graham White, CEO of Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work.
