Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work is recognised by the Queen

Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work is proud to announce that the company has won a highly acclaimed Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the category of Sustainable Development for their approach to corporate responsibility in the workplace and beyond. The annual awards are the UK’s most prestigious accolades for businesses, judged by a panel appointed by the Prime Minister and set up to recognise companies that have excelled within their field.

Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work, was amongst just 9 companies that were selected for Sustainable Development and the only company to win in London.

The Enjoy-Work team submitted their debut entry for Enjoy-Tomorrow, their sustainable development programme, which encapsulates their approach not only to the workplace but how the company protects the environment and works with its local community. Engaging not only its own team but also the companies based at the site that include Swarovski, Discovery and Tullow Oil, whilst giving back to the local area.

The West London company has created a vibrant business community and developed a personal and unique approach to property management, which understands the tangible link between a great working environment and commercial success. From energising activities such as competitive football matches and charity fun runs through to more zen-like experiences such as Well Being Week that rejuvenate the body and mind, each programme has been developed to improve performance and wellbeing.

Such is the dedication of the team that 95% of Chiswick Park’s Guests (tenants) agree that the Enjoy-Work environment and ethos enhances their productivity.

As well as providing a sustainable workplace for the 8000 employees on the park, Enjoy-Work also supports the local community and over the past 10 years Enjoy-Work has partnered with Chiswick School, to offer pupils extensive work experience, and have involved the employees of 45 of the world’s best known organisations which reside on the park. From CV writing to interview techniques, pupils are enriched with knowledge to help them secure a bright future within their chosen career.

Environmental success is also key to Enjoy-Work, from improving recycling amongst the businesses on the park through to building a 100,000 strong wormery within the grounds. Enjoy-Work aims to recycle 95% of its waste, encouraging companies to do their bit. Starbucks recycles their coffee grounds which the team recycle into compost, with many believing that the worms are charged on caffeine.

Kay Chaston CEO of Enjoy-Work says “This is the first time we have entered The Queen’s Award for Enterprise and I’m immensely proud of what we have achieved. Over the past 10 years the Enjoy-Work team has ignited a business revolution, creating a sustainable workplace that has received the greatest honour bestowed on businesses in the UK. We are very much looking forward to enhancing the experience of our guests and furthering our commitment to sustainability.
